The District of Columbia Area Black Deaf Advocates’ Black Deaf Youth Leadership Program’s objectives for participants is to:
• Understand their own intersectional identity and learn their own values and goals in life
• Obtain resources and information to improve their self-advocacy competency
• Learn their intrinsic characteristics of various leadership styles through civic engagement
• Solidify their portfolio through a wide array of hands-on activities with planning/organizational skills
• Share resources with their respective networks
